Author Guidelines
Contributions that extend the frontiers of research in pedagogy, teaching, and learning are welcome at the International Journal of Pedagogy and Learning.
Authors are advised to read the following guidelines in detail prior to submission of a manuscript.
Manuscript Originality
All submitted manuscripts should be original works which have not been published elsewhere or are currently being considered by other journals.
Relevance to the Journal
Manuscripts should be relevant to the aims and scope of the journal.
Types of Articles
The journal could accept the following types of scholarly articles:
- Original Research Articles
- Review Articles
- Systematic Literature Reviews
- Theoretical Articles
- Conceptual Papers
- Methodological Papers
- Critical Perspectives
The inclusion of certain types of articles would depend upon the policies of the journal.
Structure of Manuscript
Manuscripts should be logically structured by authors to ensure that all the required elements are present in the manuscript.
A sample structure for a research article is presented below:
- Title
- Abstract
- Keywords
- Introduction
- Literature Review
- Methodology
- Results/Findings
- Discussion
- Conclusion
- References
Other sections can also be added according to the requirements.
Abstract and Keywords
Abstract is an essential element in a research paper and needs to capture the major elements of the research paper. The purpose, methods used, results, and conclusions drawn from the research need to be indicated clearly.
Keywords are to be provided by the authors for emphasizing the main points of the manuscript.
Tables and Figures
Tables, figures, and all other such elements need to be clearly defined and numbered.
The responsibility of obtaining copyright permissions for use of any copyrighted material rests with the authors.
References
References used need to be clearly cited and referenced.
Ethical Considerations
Research involving human subjects, personal data or any other sensitive data must meet all ethical standards.
When needed, authors must provide information concerning the ethical approval of their studies and informed consent.
Author Contributions
All the authors listed on the manuscript must have contributed to the study. When needed, authors' contributions must be explained.
Sources of Funding and Conflicts of Interest
Authors are expected to declare sources of funding and any possible conflicts of interest that might affect the research and/or its interpretation.
Data Availability
Where necessary, authors are advised to make a statement on the availability of data, materials, or other resources associated with their findings.
Proofreading
It is the responsibility of the author(s) to proofread their manuscript and ensure it meets all required standards of academic writing and presentation.
Submission and Peer Review
Manuscripts submitted are evaluated editorially and, when necessary, undergo peer review. It is the author's responsibility to prepare to revise their manuscript in response to reviewers' comments when needed by the editorial board.
Author Responsibility After Publication
Authors are supposed to inform the journal editor about the existence of errors and inaccuracies in their published papers.
When necessary, the journal will publish a correction to the scholarly record.
